I'm not entirely sure if I like this picture or am unsatisfied with it. It's very confusing.

Anywho, If y'all don't know who Piano Squall is, he's a fantastic pianist who goes to different conventions around the US and plays both video game and anime music. I linked to him a great while back after Kumoricon (thanks to Kono for introducing me to him a year ago). That's where I first saw him play.

Sakuracon will be the second. I'm so excited. He's an an amazing pianist and such a great guy. Maybe this time I can manage to get a poster. He ran out right as Molly-chan stepped up to the table. Sadness! The money from the posters went to a Multiple Sclerosis fund, too. See what I mean when I said "great guy"?

Moreso on the picture, it's another one of those cases where the color looks better in real life. However, I had to paint over a few screw ups and scratch out a few misplaced lines, so the paper isn't the greatest. Plus, I posted this in the Piano Squall forum, so I'm greatly nervous about how it'll be recieved among the fans there.

The eyes are spaced kinda far apart. It seems as though his left eye has drifted off. Other than that, I like it. It's well done and I couldn't do better, so yeah. By the way, I am also a fan of Piano Squall and found this picture through his message board. :D

Yeah, that's kinda a bad habit of mine. My eye space has narrowed from what it has been, but, obviously, that still happens ;) Thanks for the critique! I'll watch that in the future.

It looks very nice. I used to be a huge piano squall fan and talked to him on a couple occasions. I got him to play Xenogears music at Tekkoshocon. :D

Anyway, awesome picture. It's very well done and I like the unique concept. Even though I haven't visited his site in a while and I've gotten away from anime and stuff a bit, I still love this. Nice jarb. :highfive:

You know, I remember thinking when I was sixteen, "I bet I'll be out of this anime thing by the time I'm 21". Here I am. 21. Just as into it as I ever was. I would have made my 16 year old self proud.

Into anime now or not, he still has absolutely gorgeous music. I don't think many people can dispute that. :) That's awesome that you got him to play some Xenogears music! If I could do that, I could die happy. Well, among other things. I'd still like to study abroad in Japan first. Thank you very much for your kind comments. :) I appreciate it a lot.

Haha, yeah - it works better for some people than it does for others. Obviously, Pinaner Squall has been into it for quite a while and it hasn't gotten old for him. I still enjoy it! I'm just not as obsessed as I once was.

whee! i saw this when piano squall held it up to show the people in the line. you were the Al standing on a chair, yes? good job getting up there in that costume! :D

aw, he really seemed to love this picture! i don't know what you're talking about 'unsatisfied' because i love it. :aww: i can't wait for his CD to ship! his renditions almost made me cry. ^^;
